Endika Torres-Urtizberea completed his BSc in Chemistry at the University of the Basque Country in Spain, where he discovered his passion for organic and medicinal chemistry. He then moved to Barcelona to pursue an MSc in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at IQS University, followed by a PhD focused on the development of drug candidates against pancreatic cancer.
Within the Lam Research Group, Endika works on developing new electrochemical methods to transform carboxylic acids into biologically relevant functional groups, providing sustainable alternatives to otherwise complex and wasteful synthetic routes.
