Cookie Notice
The public website does not use advertising, personalisation or analytics cookies.
Essential WordPress cookies
A clean request to a public page does not set a browser cookie. WordPress sets strictly necessary cookies on the sign-in screen and after an authorised member or administrator signs in. These support authentication, account security and interface preferences. They are not used for advertising.
| Technology | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| WordPress test cookie | Checks whether the browser accepts cookies before sign-in. | Session |
| WordPress login cookies | Keep an authorised member signed in and protect access to account functions. | Session, or the selected remember-me period |
| WordPress preference cookies | Remember administrative interface preferences for signed-in users. | Up to one year |
Server-side security records
Hosting and security systems may retain short-lived records used to detect repeated failed sign-ins and form abuse. These are not browser cookies. Retention follows the configured hosting and security settings.
Cookieless audience measurement
Self-hosted Koko Analytics is configured in cookieless mode. It counts visits, page views, popular pages and referring websites without storing anything on your device or sharing information with a third-party analytics provider. A one-way visitor hash rotates daily and its temporary session records are cleared each day. Separate aggregate outcome counts record Partnerships-page visits, DOI clicks and successful enquiry categories without storing contact details or individual browsing histories.
No non-essential cookie banner
Because the public site does not set analytics, advertising or personalisation cookies, it does not display a consent banner. If non-essential cookies are added later, the site must provide clear information and appropriate choices before they are used.
Browser controls
You can inspect, block, or remove cookies using your browser settings. Blocking essential login cookies will prevent access to the Member area.
