Dr Shusuke Hattori

About Shusuke

Shusuke, originally from Niigata, Japan, earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Tohoku University under the guidance of Professor Yujiro Hayashi. He then pursued his doctoral studies at the Institute for Molecular Science (Graduate University for Advanced Studies) in the research group of Professor Yasuhiro Uozumi, where he focused on developing novel photocatalysts and photoreductive transformations. He was awarded his Ph.D. in March 2025.

In April 2025, Shusuke joined Professor Lam’s research group at the University of Greenwich as a postdoctoral fellow. His current research explores electrochemical methods for achieving efficient molecular transformations that install synthetically valuable functional groups.
