Irene holds a Master's degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology from the University of Eastern Piedmont in Novara, Italy. During her thesis and subsequent PhD studies, she focused on the development of Store-Operated Calcium Entry (SOCE) inhibitors as potential treatments for ultra-rare diseases such as TAM.
For the last six months of her PhD, she decided to broaden her horizons by undertaking research at the University of Greenwich, delving into the field of electrochemistry and exploring a new synthetic tool for applications in medicinal chemistry.
