Camilla graduated in 2020 from the University of Naples
“Federico II” in Italy with a master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology.
Her final year research project focused on exploiting a novel interrupted Ugi
3-CR for synthesising elusive N-alkyl-2,3-diaminoindole derivatives as
potential NOD1 antagonists. In the same year, she started her PhD in
Pharmaceutical Sciences under the supervision of Dr Mariateresa Giustiniano.
She is currently developing green synthetic methodologies to obtain drug-like
scaffolds, with a particular interest in isocyanide chemistry and photochemical
multicomponent processes. Since November 2022, Camilla has joined the Lam
Research Group as a visiting student to learn more about the synthetic
opportunities of applying electrochemistry as a green activation method
